The tour

Famous as the birthplace of St Francis, Italy’s patron as well animals’ protector, Assisi is without doubt a splendid city that one should visit if one comes to Italy on holiday.

The city lies on the northwestern slope of Subasio mountain and its position guarantees nice weather throughout the year.

Our driver will come and pick you up at your hotel or at the address indicated by you and you will be the protagonist of a relaxing trip to discover a religious place where St Francis d’Assisi was born, lived and bequeathed the Franciscan Order.
Before arriving in Assisi we will stop for a moment in order to admire the Basilica di Santa Chiara (ST Clare), a clear example of Gothic architecture that was built in the saint’s memory and is part of the World Heritage List (UNESCO). Within the Church you will see her relics.

After seeing it, we will move to the marvelous city of Assisi, world’s symbol of peace, where you can see the fantastic Basilica of St Francis. This imposing building is part of the World Heritage List as well (UNESCO) and it keeps inside the relics of the saint who preached to the birds. The Church of St Francis was built in 1230 and possesses 28 murals of Giotto. It was built in the same place indicated by Saint Francis himself in his will.
After delighting your palate with local food accompanied by the best of wine, you shall see l’Oratorio dei Pellegrini (Pilgrims Oratory), Piazza del Comune with the magnificent Temple of Minerva, Rocca Maggiore and the Church Nuova where St Francis was born.

At the end of this splendid trip, our driver will take you to the hotel.
